Sustainability is deeply anchored in the corporate values at bk Group AG. Over the last few years, a wide variety of measures have been taken to reduce the CO2 footprint. Thus, the bk Group AG is even officially «climate positive». This year’s company celebration will also be climate neutral.
Since the 20th company anniversary of the bk Group could not take place last year due to Corona restrictions, this event will now be made up for in 2021. Over two days, all employees from all over Europe will meet at the company’s location in Endsee. During this time, they will spend time together, exchange ideas, play sports and celebrate together.
Sustainability as a core value
Despite conscious planning, an event of this size generates emissions. In addition to catering, waste and overnight stays, the travel costs of the international employees and local transportation are particularly significant. According to calculations by the independent consultancy Fokus Zukunft, these account for 63% of the total list of emission sources.
In order to meet the company’s claim to actively protect the environment, the bk Group AG was able to make the event climate-neutral thanks to the support of Fokus Zukunft. Thus, in accordance with the company’s philosophy, the event can be celebrated in an environmentally friendly way.
