South Shields – July 2021
As part of the bk Social Day, all employees of the bk Group are given a day off to support a local social project in teamwork. As the bk Group operates throughout Europe, this commitment takes place in many different countries.
The team of service technicians in Great Britain therefore supported the Toby Hendersson Trust in South Shields on 27.07.2021. The organization is a drop-in center for families with autistic children. Autism is a developmental disorder that can trigger problems with social contact as well as communication and language. At the Autism Hub, autistic children are supervised and cared for while they play. This also allows their parents to take a break from their busy daily lives from time to time.
During the final preparations for the reopening of the center, the bk Group AG team lent a hand. From painting to hanging pictures to gardening, they were able to take important work off the hands of those responsible for the center, and now nothing stands in the way of the reopening.
