This week’s lunch break in Endsee was not just about relaxing, but also about being active: instead of spending the break sitting down, we played badminton together! Our colleague David went the extra mile – he set up two nets and provided all the equipment. Many thanks for your efforts, David!
Active breaks like this are more than just a short break from everyday office life. Regular exercise is essential for your health, especially if your work is predominantly sedentary. It strengthens the cardiovascular system, promotes blood circulation, helps prevent tension and lifts the mood. Just 15 to 30 minutes of physical activity a day can significantly improve well-being – both physically and mentally.
With a total of nine participants, two exciting doubles matches were played in parallel. There were no losers – because in the end we were all winners: not only because we had exercised together and done something for our health, but also because the focus was on having fun. The strong wind posed a particular challenge, with its gusts causing the shuttlecocks to fly unpredictably and making the game even more entertaining. The 30-minute lunch break flew by and was characterized by team spirit, movement and lots of smiling faces.
We are already looking forward to the next round – exercise is good for you!
