bk World Holding GmbH is building the service stations of the future. Starting in spring 2022, the subsidiary of bk Group AG will build state-of-the-art lounges at charging parks for drivers of electric vehicles. The building permit for the charging park at bk World’s first location in the Endsee industrial park has now been issued. Construction work will begin as early as March.

The registration figures for electric cars are rising rapidly. The German government is planning for fifteen million registered electric cars by 2030. This means that the need for charging and accommodation facilities is also increasing. With the bk World, a new concept is now being developed to make the time during the charging process as pleasant as possible for those waiting.
Further locations
CEO Gerold Wolfarth has already established 17 further bk World companies for this purpose at the beginning of March, thus giving the green light for upcoming locations. After the pilot in Endsee, the next bk World location will soon follow on Lake Constance.
“With bk World, we are bringing together the core competence of bk Group AG, planning and construction, with the mobility of the future. In this way, we are creating the filling station of the future and are even already thinking further in the direction of hydrogen or even e-fuel filling stations.” Says Gerold Wolfarth. “We also attach great importance to sustainability in the construction and equipping of the properties. The bk World will therefore be climate-positive.”
Opportunity for local retailers
In the bk World lounges, drivers can spend the waiting time during the loading process in the office or lounge area or have something to eat and drink.
For stationary retailers, bk World offers a digital platform to sell regional products to national customers. Guests can buy specialties from the respective region in the bk World online store. In this way, bk World creates a bridge between local retail and online shopping.
Product portfolio almost complete
“Our product range for the Endsee site is already almost complete. We are happy to be able to present guests with a varied range of products from the region.” Says Gerold Wolfarth.
