200 employees from all over Europe- one social institution – 8 construction projects – one day.
That is the Social Day of the bk Group 2023.
One day for social commitment. According to this premise, the bk Social Day has already been taking place for several years. All employees of the company throughout Europe are released from their work for one day in order to get socially involved and support people who are “in the shadows”. So far, these days have always taken place within the individual teams.
This year, for the first time, there was a big joint Social Day.
bk Social Day 2023
The entire bk Group actively supported the Jugendhilfe Creglingen e.V., or more precisely, the Hof Uhlberg. The former farm is home to a stabilization group that uses animal-assisted pedagogy to care for children with increased educational needs.
The Jugendhilfe Creglingen is a non-profit organization that cares for children and adolescents in inpatient residential groups and offers socio-pedagogical family support as well as other outpatient youth support services with the goal of providing the best possible help to the children and adolescents.
The project
For the big joint bk Social Day in July 2023, all employees of the bk Group have now lent a hand. They traveled from France, Spain, Poland, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands, among other countries. In addition to building a creative workshop, doing electrical work on the yard, painting a fence and building a yard roof, a large old barn was the centerpiece of the day. A huge building that was converted into an all-day recreation room, including a climbing wall.
In addition to the labor, the bk Group also provided the necessary tools and work materials. Thanks to elaborate preliminary planning, including the building permit process, as well as the support of partners from various sectors, this mammoth project could be managed after a preparation period of several months.

This year, I am therefore particularly pleased that we can help such an important organization from the region with this major project. The day after the bk Social Day, the employees of the bk Group also receive a reward. The annual company celebration takes place.
