The expansion of a showroom in the automotive sector requires special attention to planning, design and execution. On the one hand, a wide variety of vehicles have to be perfectly staged on a very large floor space. On the other hand, the work takes place during ongoing operations, which requires optimal planning and support.
Within five months, the Planning & Construction team of bk Group AG did just that and extensively modernised the Mercedes Benz showroom in Würzburg.
On a total area of the showroom of 1,750 square metres, bk Group AG carried out the conversion in two construction phases during ongoing operations. Precise project planning and project control ensured that the showroom always remained at least partially usable. In the end, the result more than fulfilled all expectations.
The decisive factor in the overall design planning was to put the cars on display in the best light.
To this end, a major change was implemented on the floor in particular. The new floor is no longer made of tiles, but of stone carpet. This binds dirt particles and is therefore easy to clean and durable.
But that was not the only major modification. The project team renewed the entire lighting in the showroom and the staircase leading to the offices on the first floor. In addition, an imposing cube was integrated in a central position, giving the showroom a modern and contemporary look.
The project is an example of a great cooperation between the bk Group AG and the team of Emil Frey Mainfranken, which took care of air conditioning, media technology and shopfitting.
We are particularly pleased with the positive customer feedback. The Mercedes Benz team is extremely satisfied with the result and is looking forward to the opening of the showroom at the end of November. We would like to thank our client for their trust and look forward to further joint projects in the future.
